2、ityalteration,referstothereversalofwettabilityofrockfromoil-wettowater-wetorfromwater-wettooil-wetsimilarly,makingagreatcontributiontoenhancingoilrecovery,causedbytheinjectedsolublesurfactantsmainlyresearchedinthispaper.Whentheformationiswater-wet,alargeamountofoilcanbedriveout.Thispapermain
3、lyresearchthemechanismsforwettabilityalteration,andits‘a(chǎn)pplicationinEORandwhattypeandkindofsurfactantscanbeusedtoimproveoilrecovery.IntroductionWettabilityisevaluatedbymeasuringwater-oilcontactangles,whenmeasuredatdifferentstages,differentanglecanobtainthusindicatingtherockisoil-wetorwater-w
4、et.Theterm“wettabilityalteration”,alsocalled“wettabilityreversal”referstoreversalofthewettabilityofasolidsurfacewheresurface-activesubstancesareadsorbed.Forexamplesand,arewater-wetoriginally,butwhentherockcorewassaturatedwithsurface-activesubstance,duetoadsorption,sandgraincanbecomeoil-wet.S
5、imilarly,forsomerock,oil-wettingoriginallycanalsoundergoawettabilityalteration.Wettabilityalterationcantakeplaceduringactiveproductionstageandalsodependingonthevariationsofsurfacepropertiesofgrainsandfluidcompositionschangesacrossthereservoir.Ithasbeenrecognizedthathalfoftheworld’sknownoilre
6、servoirareincarbonatereservoirs.Manyofthesecarbonatereservoirarenaturallyfractured,howevermostcarbonatereservoirs(aboutmost80%)areoil-wetormix-wet,thusiftheformationiswater-wet,thepositivecapitallyforceshelpsinimbibingwaterintothematrixandexpellingtheoilout,enhancingtheoilrecoverybythewettab
7、ilityalterationduringsurfactantfloodingorSurfactant-polymerfloodingincarbonatereservoirs.HencefracturedreservoirwithhighlowmatrixpermeabilityneedEORtechniquetoachievemaximumproduction,dilutesurfactantswithappropriatedamountsaredevelopedtodramatical
