3、ion(EU)No10/2016(2)('theRegulation，)1aysdownspecificrulesasregardsplasticmaterialsandarticlesintendedtocomeintocontactwithfoods.(2)SincethelastamendmenttotheRegulation,theEuropeanFoodSafetyAuthority('theAuthority，)haspublishedfurtherreportsonparticularsubstancesthatmaybeusedinf
4、oodcontactmaterialsaswellasonthepermitteduseofalreadyauthorisedsubstances.Inaddition,certaintextualerrorsandambiguitieswereidentified.InordertoensurethattheRegulationreflectsthemostrecentfindingsoftheAuthorityandinordertoremoveanydoubtasregardsitscorrectapplication,theRegulatio
5、nshouldbeamendedandcorrected?(3)TheauthorisationofseveralsubstancesinTable1ofAnnexItotheRegulationreferstonote(l)inTable3ofthatAnnex.Complianceisthereforeverifiedbyresidualcontentperfoodcontactsurfacearea(QMA)pendingtheavailabilityofananalyticalmethodfordeterminingthespecificmi
6、gration.Asadequatemigrationtestingmethodsareavailable,andthespecificmigrationlimitshavebeenspecified,thepossibilitytoverifycompliancebyresidualcontentshouldberemovedfromtheentriesforsubstanceswithFCMsubstanceNos142,16&202,387,462,467,481,502,662,and779?(4)TheAuthorityadoptedafa
7、vourablescientificopinion(3)ontheuseofthesubstancediethyl,5-bis(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-hydroxyphenyl]methyl]phosphonate,withtheCASnumber976-56-7andtheFCMsubstanceNol007.TheAuthorityconcludedthatthesubstanceisnotofasafetyconcernfortheconsumerifusedupto0,2%w/wbasedonthefinalpolymer
