2、,onemphasisthatshouldbegiventothetion.Thesetensionsbetweenthenationaltheotherhand,becomingincreasinglypromotionofnationalcitizenshipandandtheglobal,aswellasbetweenunityglobalized,interconnectedandinter-groupidentitiesandtothethornyissueanddiversity,remainhighlyrelevantindependent,socialstudieseduc

3、atorsareofdevelopingworldorglobalcitizens.today’sincreasinglyglobalizedworld.regularlyfacedwiththechallengeofLikecitizenshipeducation,bothglobalThepurposeofthisarticleis,therefore,supportingdiversity,creatingaunifiededucationandmulticulturaleducationtoexplorehowtheSingaporeeduca-nationalcommunity,

4、andpromotingvarygreatlywhenincorporatedintotionsystemaddressesthesedisparateglobalperspectivesthrougheducation.thenationalcurriculumofdifferentgoalsthroughitsnationalsocialstudiesThispaperexploreshowtheSingaporecountries.Asglobaleducationschol-curriculumforsecondaryschools.Thiseducationsystemaddre

5、ssesthesearssuchasPike(2000)contend,glob-articleexamineshowtheSingaporedisparategoalsthroughitsnationalaleducationis“infusedwithdistincteducationsystemapproachesmulti-socialstudiescurriculumforsecond-nationalcharacteristics”(71).Likewise,culturalandglobaleducationthrougharyschools,particularlythro

6、ughitsSchweisfurth(2006,42)arguesthatsocialstudies—arelativelynewinter-useofinternationalcasestudies.TheeducationthataimstodevelopglobaldisciplinarysubjectthatisrequiredSingaporesocialstudiescurriculumalsoperspectivesinlearnersisa“distinctlyforallsecondaryschoolstudentsinservesasaninterestingcases
