3、hagogastrec-benigntumorsandcyststomyin1913.TheuseofthestomachtoreplacetheesophaguscarcinomaoftheesophaguswasfirstattemptedbyLeipzinin1920andsuccessfullyaccom-plishedbyOshavain1933.Anumberofmodificationsunusualmalignantesophagealtumorsoccurredoverthenext40years,includingchangesina
4、pproach,conclusionanastomosis,andconduits.IvorLewis(1946)modifiedtheapproachbyenteringtherightchest,andMcKewonplacedtheanastomosisinthenecktoeliminateintrathoracicleaks.TheesophagusistheonlyorganthatnavigatesthroughthreeAlthoughthetranshiatalapproachhadbeenattempted,itwas1bodycav
