3、itionproblemsinComputerVision.Thisframeworkexploitsboundaryandregion-basedsegmentationmodulesunderacurve-basedoptimizationobjectivefunction.Thetaskofsupervisedtexturesegmentationisconsideredtodemonstratethepotentialsoftheproposedframework.Thetexturedfeaturespaceisgeneratedby
4、?lteringthegiventexturedimagesusingisotropicandanisotropic?lters,andanalyzingtheirresponsesasmulti-componentconditionalprobabilitydensityfunctions.Thetexturesegmentationisobtainedbyunifyingregionandboundary-basedinformationasanimprovedGeodesicActiveContourModel.Thede?nedobje
5、ctivefunctionisminimizedusingagradient-descentmethodwherealevelsetapproachisusedtoimplementtheobtainedPDE.AccordingtothisPDE,thecurvepropagationtowardsthe?nalsolutionisguidedbyboundaryandregion-basedsegmentationforces,andisconstrainedbyaregularityforce.Thelevelsetimplementat
