2、ymaybecomeobstaclesofunderstanding,leadingtomisunderstandingandabadimpressiononforeigntourists.Inordertohelptranslatorswhotranslatetouristmaterialstorealizeandavoidculturalnegativetransferproblems,thisthesistakesthemethodologyofqualitativeanalysisandmakesanin-depthstudyonculturalnegativetransferi

3、nthetranslationofscenicspotsintroductions.Theauthorcollectsmanyexamplesofculturalnegativetransferincurrenttranslationofscenicspotsintroductions,andthenclassifiesthemintotwotypes.Byerroranalysis,theauthorfindsthatmostculturalnegativetransferproblemsaretheresultofthetranslatorconductingthetranslati

4、ononthebasisofhisnativeculturalbackgroundandmessageitselftoachievetheequivalenceinform.Scholarshaveeverfocusedonculturalnegativetransferfromdifferentperspectives,butthewriterbelievesthatitismorefeasibletocopewiththeproblembasedonNida’sfunctionalequivalencetheory.Inthetheory,receptor’sresponseispu

5、tatthefirstplaceandequivalenceoflanguagefunctionisemphasizedwhichcantremendouslyhelptranslatorstoovercomeculturalnegativetransfer.Finally,translationstrategiesandsuggestionsareprovided.Insummary,thestudyofthisthesisshowsthatculturalnegativetransferiscommonintranslationofscenicspotsintroductionswh
