2、icalexample,itcanhardlybemanufacturedbyothermanufacturemethodsforitsstrictdemandsfordimentionalaccuracyandsurfacequality,whilemicromillinghasitsdecidedadvantage.However,LiFisakindofsoftbrittlecrystalandductilemodecuttingposesachallengetotheselectionofmicromillgeometriesandprocessingparameters.Asares

3、ult,it’sofgreatimportancetoimplytheresearchofmicromillsdesignandprocessparametersoptimizationwhenLiFcrystalismicromilled.InicialresearchofthisprojecthasshowedthatextremelyseriousdiffusivewearexisedbetweenWCbasedmicromillsandLiFcrystal.Thewearmechanismswerestudied.ResultsshowedthatWCfromthetoolbaseme

4、ntdiffuseddramaticallytoLiFcrystalandreactedwithittoproduceLi2C2andgasWF,whichwasthemainreasonfordiffusivewear.PCDwasultimatelyselectedasthetoolmaterialformillingLiFcrystalanditschemicalinertnesswasexperimentalverified.Twotypesofmicroendmillsweredesigned.TheirtoolgeometrieswereoptimizedbyFiniteeleme

5、ntmethod(FEM).Afteroptimization,tooltypeⅠhadtheradialrakeangle,radialclearanceangle,axialrakeangleandaxialclearanceangleof-35°,9°,-25°and20°respectively,andtooltypeⅡhadtheradialrakeangle,radialclearanceangle,axialrakeangleandaxialclearanceangleof-60°,12°,-55°and20°respectively.Simulationresultsshowe

6、dthatthecuttingperformanceoftooltypeⅠwasnotsogoodastheperformanceoftooltypeⅡ.TheprocessparameterswereoptimizedbybothFEMandsingle-factorexperimentswithtooltypeⅡ.Resultsshowedthat,asthefeedpertoothandspindlespeedincreased,thequalityofslotsurfacebecamebetterthenworse.Thebestfeedpertoothwas665nm/zandthe
