3、ndsolutionsforandhelppeopletowardsimprovingtheirhealthandwell-beingthrougheducation,research,clinicalcareandpublicservice.TheDivisionofHealthSciencesprovidesanimportantlinkagebetweentheschoolsandsupportsthemissionoftheSCHS.TheUniversityofNevada,Reno(UNR)isaconst

4、itutionallyestablished,land-grantuniversity.TheuniversityservedthestateofNevadaasitsonlystate-supportedinstitutionofhighereducationforover75years.Inthathistoricalrole,ithasemergedasadoctoral-grantinguniversitywhichfocusesresourcesondoingaselectnumberofthingswell

5、.ThemissionoftheUniversityofNevada,RenosupportsandengagestheSCHSbyofferinghigh-qualityundergraduate,graduate,andprofessionaldegreesintheliberalarts,sciences,andselectedprofessionsinagriculture,engineering,healthcare,education,journalism,andbusiness.UNRcreatesnew

6、knowledgethroughbasicandappliedresearch,scholarship,andartistry,instrategicallyselectedfieldsrelevanttoNevadaandtheworld.TheUniversityimproveseconomicandsocialdevelopmentbyengagingNevada'scitizens,communities,andgovernmentsandseekstoreflectthegender,ethnic,cultu

7、ral,andability/disabilitydiversityofthecitizensofNevadainitsacademicandsupportprograms,andinthecompositionofitsfaculty,administration,staff,andstudentbody.Inparticular,the2015-2021UNRstrategicplanaddressesthegoalofimprovingthephysicalandmentalhealthofNevadansand
