2、tion,vision-basedsupervision,securitysurveillance,medicalimageanalysis,industrialautomation,videoprocessing,etc..Thestudyobjectofthispaperisimagesequence.Eachimageiscomposedofmovingobjectsandbackground.Normallytherearethreecases:thebackgroundisstaticandsim
3、ple,thebackgroulldiscomplex、vimsmallchange,andthebackgroandiscomplexwithvastchange.Mostpublishedresearchesfocusondetectionandtrackingofmovingobjectinthefirstcase.Sofar,thereislimitedresearchdoneonthethirdcase.Thispaperhastriedtoanalyzeboththefirstandthesec
4、ondcases.Intheresearch,adigitalimagecapturingsystemisconstructed.Thehardwareandsoftwarepartofthesystemarechosenaccordingtopracticalneeds.Thepresentlycommonmethodsondetectionandtrackingofmovingobjectsareintroducedfirst.Formovingobjectdetection,threemethods,
5、including‘differentialbetweenadjacentframes’,‘backgroundsubtractction’and‘opticalflow’,arediscussed.Throughcomparisonandanalysis,themerits,weaknessesandapplicationfieldofeachmethodareconcluded.Formovingobjecttracking,therearethreefeaturematchingalgorithms:
6、‘a(chǎn)bsolute—balancesearching’,‘normalizedcross—correlationmatching’,and‘histogrammatching’.Twofastmatchingmethods,‘sequentialsimilaritydetectionalgorithm’and‘pyramidhierarchicalsearchingalgorithm’arealsointroduced.Basedonthestudiesofthesealgorithms,thispaper
7、designsandimplementsapracticalsystemforsequenceimagecapturingandmovingobjectdetectionandtracking,usingVisualc++andOpenCV.ThissystemCandetectandtrackmovingobjectmoreaccuratelyandlesstime—consuming.Inordertoimprovetheaccuracyandenhancethereal—timeabilityoftr
