2、opossessantioxidantpropertiesthatmayhelptoreducetheriskofchronicdiseases,cardiovasculardisease,andcancer.Wescreenaqueousextractsfrom20medicinalplantsinThailandthatwerebelievedtopossessanti-tumoractivity,helpimmune-stimulatingpropertyandmaintainbloodstasis.Theantioxidantactivitieswereinve
3、stigatedintwobioassays.Firstly,wedemonstratedinhibitionofHeinzbodiesinductioncausedbyoxidantsunderinvitrocondition.ThepercentagesofHeinzbodyinhibitionactivityinplantextractsfromTerminaliacitrina,Cassiatimoriensis,andDerrisellipticawerethehighestfollowedbyAnamirtacocculus,andOroxylumindic
4、umrespectively.Inaddition,weinvestigatedtotalantioxidantactivityinplantextractsbyimprovedABTSradicalcationdecolorizationassay.ThetotalantioxidantactivityoftheextractfromTerminaliacitrinawasalsothehighestactivityfollowedbyFicuspubigera,Derriselliptica,Anamirtacocculus,Caesalpiniasappan,an
