3、wsandintothesun.EveryonecheeringasoneforTeamGB.Andit’sTeamGBIwanttotalkabouttoday.OurUnitedKingdom.Lastyear,thedatefortheScottishreferendumwasfixed.Thecountdownwasset.Andtoday,wehavejustover7monthsuntilthatvote.CenturiesofhistoryhanginthebalanceaquestionmarkhangsoverthefutureofourUnitedKingdom.I
4、fpeoplevoteyesinSeptember,thenScotlandwillbecomeanindependentcountry.Therewillbenogoingback.AsIhavemadeclear,thisisadecisionthatissquarelyandsolelyforthoseinScotlandtomake.IpassionatelybelieveitisintheirintereststostayintheUK.ThatwayScotlandhasthespacetotakedecisions,whilestillhavingthesecurityt
5、hatcomeswithbeingpartofsomethingbigger.FromHolyroodtheycandecidewhathappensineveryhospital,schoolandpolicestationinScotlandandintheUK,Scotlandispartofamajorglobalplayer.ThesearetheargumentswewillkeeponputtingtillSeptember18th.Itistheirchoice,theirvote.Butmyargumenttodayisthatwhileonly4millionpeo
6、plecanvoteinthisreferendum,all63millionofusareprofoundlyaffected.Thereare63millionofuswhocouldwakeuponSeptember19thinadifferentcountry,withadifferentfutureaheadofit.That’swhythisspeechisaddressednotsomuchtothepeopleofScotland,buttothepeopleofEngland,WalesandNorthernIreland.Withinthesecountriesth
