4、lts.Theelectrolysisprocesshasbeeninvestigatedbycyclicvoltammetryshowingtheformationofreducedcobaltadatoms.followedbyclusterformation.InthepresentpaperwehavestudiedsuchprocessforthepreparationofnanosizedCoclustersandtheirulterioroxidationtocobaltoxidenanosizedparticlesstableinair.TheTEA4analys
5、isshowstheformationofhomogeneousparticles(2-4nmindiameter)embeddedinasurfactantprotectivematrix.ElectrondtfiactionshowsbroadbutclearpeakscorrespondingtotheformationofverysmallCo0crystallites.X-RayAbsorption(XAS),ElectronEnergyLoss(EELS)andX-RayPhotoelectron(XPS)spectroscopieshavebeenusedtocha
