2、evereWeather,ortoxicChemicalRelease.Thisplaniskeepavailabletoemployeesforreview.Attheminimum,theemergencyactionplanmustincludethefollowing:·Apreferredmethodforreportingfiresandotheremergencies;·Anevacuationpolicyandprocedure;·Emergencyescapeproceduresandrouteassignments,suchasfloorplans,wor
3、kplacemaps,andsafeorrefugeareas;DefinitionsRefugeZones:Anoutsideassemblyareawhereemployeesaretomeetafterevacuatingtheirworkplaceintheeventoffire,bombthreatorbombthreat.Itisherethataheadcountwillbetaken.Thesesitesallprovidesufficientspacetoaccommodatetheemployees.Employeesshouldmoveawayfromt
4、heexitdoorsofthebuilding(s)andtoavoidcongregatingclosetothebuildingwheretheymayhamperemergencyoperations.ThesezonesarelistedinAttachmentOne.Shelter:AdesignedareainsideabuildingasaprotectionagainstsevereweathersuchasTornados.ThesesheltersarelistedinAttachmentTwo.EmergencyResponseLeader:Inane
5、mergencysituationtheremustbeonepersonresponsibleformakingdecisionsanddirectingthenecessaryactionstobetaken.ThispersonisdesignatedastheEmergencyResponseLeader.DependingonthetypeofEmergency,thispositionmaychangeduringtheevent.Asarule,therankingsupervisor/employeeassumesthispositionunitsomeone
6、withmoretrainingorexperiencearrivedtoassumetheposition.Asanexample:Intheeventofasignificantfire,thepositionofEmergencyResponseLeadermaybefilledbytheSafetyorHumanResourcesManageruntiltheCityFireDepartmentarrives.AtthattimetheFireChiefatthescenewouldassumethisposition.TrainedEvacuationPersonn
