6、ederalHighwayAdministration.16.ABSTRACTThisstudyinvestigatedtheinfluenceofseveralfactorsontheadhesivebondprovidedbythetackcoatattheinterfacebetweenpavementlayers.Thesefactorsincludedthesurfacetreatment,curingtime,residualapplicationrate,andcoringlocation.Threetestswereperformedforme
7、asuringthebondstrengthbetweenanexistinghotmixasphalt(HMA)andanewHMAoverlay,namelytheFloridaDOTShearTester,theUTEPPullOffTest,andtheTorqueBondTest.TestinginvolvedaCSS-1typeemulsionasthetackcoat.Theresultsfromthethreetestswerestatisticallyanalyzed.Generally,millingprovidedasignificant
