4、ou.Herareasofresearchinterestincludethecultureofeducation,teachers’workandprofessionaldevelopment,experienceinlife-longlearning,aswellasqualitativeresearchmethodologies(e.g.life-historynarrativeandautoethnography).14AbstractThisarticleoffersanunderstandingofselfhood,fromaChinese
5、perspective,whichisachievedthroughcross-culturallearning.Itdiscussesthedynamicaspectsofprivateandpublicselfmediatedbylifenarrativeaccounts,navigatingthechangesoftheselfunderpinnedbychangingplacesandtimes.Theemergenceandrealizationofselfhoodreliesmuchontheabilityofstorytelling,al
6、beit,theimageandmeaningofselfreliesonculturalnormsandpersonalexperiences.Thisisnottosaythatculturedeterminesselfhood,rather,itisassumptionsandstereotypesthatconstrainandshapeself.Thiswritingdemonstratesthatexperiencessuchascross-culturallearningorlearningfromotherculturalsignifi
