2、andthetheFFTiscomputedfromofablockofdatawhichisFFTofthesinewaveform(bottom).Asinewaveisnotperiodic.Tocorrectthisproblemappropriatewin-composedofonepuretoneindicatedbythesingledis-dowingfunctionsmustbeapplied.TheusermustcretepeakintheFFTwithheightof1.0at10Hz.choosetheappropriatewindowfunctionforthesp
3、ecif-icapplication.Whenwindowingisnotappliedcorrect-ly,thenerrorsmaybeintroducedintheFFTampli-tude,frequencyoroverallshapeofthespectrum.Thisapplicationnotedescribesthephenomenonofleak-age,thevariouswindowingfunctionsandtheirstrengthsandweaknesses,andexamplesaregivenforvariousapplications.FFTBackgrou
