3、hineseandtheforeignlanguageasmediumsofinstructioninteachingschoolsubjects.ThefocusoftheanalysisisonthelatterforthesimplereasonthatcurrentliteratureonthenewphenomenonismostlyavailableonlyinChinese.Anequallyimportantaimofthispaperistoexploretheimpactofthenewphenomenonon
4、minorityeducationandtoexaminethereasonwhythisimpactislargelyignoredinbilingualismdiscussions,despiteobviousconsequenceswithrespecttoethnicidentity,person-alitydevelopmentandacademicperformanceofminoritystudents.Thus,thetraditionalconceptionisbrieflyreviewedatthestart.
