5、indexwasproposedforbridgestructures.Theeffectivenessoftheproposeddamageidentificationmethodwasexaminedusingthemodeltestofthesimplysupportedsteelbeams.Aprestressedcontinuousrigidframebridgewithlargespan,namedXiabaishiBridge,wastakenasanengineeringcase,anddiff
6、erentbearingdamageconditionsweremodeledtovalidatetheproposeddamageidentificationmethodusingnumericalsimulations.Itisrevealedthattheelementmodalstrainenergydamageindexisverysensitivetothecrackingdamageandthebearingdamage.Thelocationsandlevelsofmultiplecrackin
