3、boutadvantagesanddisadvantagesaboutsocialnetworking’sinfluenceoncollegestudents.Obviously,thereareanumberofpositivefeaturesonsocialnetworking.Itprovidesaconvenientaccesstoconsolidatetherelationshipwithpeopletheyknow,makefriendswithstrangerswithoutrestr
4、ictionsofspaceandsharehappinessandsorrow.What’smore,socialnetworkingalsohaseducationalfunctionsincludingreducingcollegedrop-outrates,motivatingstudentstoworkasateam,sendinginformationaboutassignments,remindingstudentsaboutdeadlineandstimulatingstudents
5、tohelpeachother.(BBCNews,2009).Thereisnodoubtthatsocialnetworkingplaysasignificantroleinenrichingstudents’collegelives.However,everycoinhastwosides.Therearealsomanydisadvantagesontheinfluenceofsocialnetworking,amongwhich,“softaddiction”isthemostserious
6、problem,distractingstudentsfromstudy.Becauseoflackofself-restriction,manystudentswouldwasteplentyoftimetosearchthesocialnetworkingsitesunconsciously,followedbyastrongtendencytoblamethemselves(Li,2013).Thiskindof“softaddiction”anddistractionwasalsoconfi
7、rmedbyZhang(2011)whoconductedasurveybyquestionareof500Chinesecollegestudentsfromdifferentschoolsandfoundthat33%studentscouldnotbearone-weeklifewithoutsocialnetworkingand77%studentscouldnothelpthemselvesaccessingsocialnetworkingsiteduringclasses.Further
