2、bAbstractBACKGROUND:Inrecentyears,DNA-basedmarkershavebeenusedquiteextensivelybecauseoftheirmanyadvantagesoverthetraditionalmorphologicalandbiochemicalmarkers.Manystudieshaveshownthatmolecularmarkersareusefulindelineatingthegeneticrelationshipsamongcloselyrelatedmulberrygenotypesandc
3、ultivars.Thus,inthepresentstudy,polymerchainreactionbasedDNA?ngerprintingtechniqueswereusedtoinvestigatethegeneticrelationshipsamongmulberrygenotypesgrowingindifferentagro-climaticregionsofTurkey.RESULTS:20RAPDprimersgeneratedatotalof173bands,ofwhich157(90.75%)werepolymorphic.Asfor11
4、ISSRprimers,124bands(96.55%)werepolymorphicinatotalof128.ThesimilarityindexforRAPDtechniquerangedbetween0.240.98;25˙Is203with25˙Is112werefoundtobetheclosestgenotypes,while24Ke10and25˙Is123werethemostdistantones.AccordingtotheISSRresult,thegeneticsimilarityindexchangedbetween0.21095;2
