2、edtheWTO,whichencouragedfurtheropeningupinbothdomesticandinternationalmarkets.AsanimportantpillarindustryoftheChineseeconomy,constructionindustryhasalsobeenprofoundlyinfluencedbytheaccessiontotheWTO.Thelasttenyears,themembershipoftheWTOhasbroughtnumerou
3、sopportunitiesforChina’sconstructionindustrysuchasofferingmoreinternationalinvestment,expandinginternationalconstructionmarketandgivingincentivetoreformconstructionsystem.Atthesametime,italsohasproposedahigherstandardforChina’constructionregulationandth
4、ecompetitivenessofconstructionenterprises.Thisisbecause,toparticipateininternationalconstructioncontractcompetition,allthecandidatesneedtofollowtheinternationalruleswhichareverydifferentfromthatofChina’sdomesticmarket.Furthermore,themoreopenthemarketis,
5、thefiercerthecompetitiontherewillbe.Consequently,localconstructionindustrywillalsobegreatlychallengedbyexternalpressure.China’constructionindustryhasexploitedmostoftheopportunitiesbroughtbythemembershipoftheWTObuttherearestillalotofchallengesforittodeal
6、inthefuture.SomeeffectivestrategiesareneededtomeetthosechallengesforChinatofullyadaptininternationalconstructionpractice.ThisessaywillshowthesituationofChina’sconstructionindustrybeforeChinajointedtheWTOandthesignificantchangesduringlasttenyears,thendis
