3、oreaddetectivestoriesalignsmoreandbetterwiththeoriginalstoriesthanthatoflearnerswhoreademotionalstoriesinstorycontinuationtasks?2)Whetherreadingdetectivestorieshasabettereffectontheaccuracy,fluency,andcomplexityofleaners’L2writtenproductionthanreadingemotionalstoriesinstorycontinuationtasks?Th
4、etheoreticalframeworkoftheresearchconsistsoftheinputandoutputhypothesisandtheinteractivealignmentmodel.Theexperimentspreadovertwoweeks,inwhichparticipantswereaskedtocompletetwostorycontinuationtasksduringregularclasstime(40minutes).Seventy-sixhighschoolstudentsfromGrade12ofHighSchoolAttachedto
5、ShanghaiNormalUniversitywererequiredtowriteanat-least-150-wordendingin40minutesafterreadingadetectivestoryandanemotionalstorywiththeirendingsremovedrespectively.Onlyoneweekintervenedbetweentheadministrationsofthetwotasksandtheorderoftheadministrationsoftasksweretakenintoaccount.SPSSwasusedtoan
6、alyzetheinterestingnessofthestory,toexaminewhethertheinterestingnesswascontrolled,andtotestiftherewassignificantdifferencebetweenthedataofthesyntacticcomplexity,linguisticaccuracy,andfluency(CAF)ofthetextcollectedintwotasks,soastoensuretheeffectivenessoftheresearchandtheresults.Thestudywith50p
7、articipants’pairedcompositionsshowedthattherewasnosignificantdifferenceintheCAFofthelanguageproductionbetweenthestudentswhowroteafterreadingtheemotionalstoryandthosewhowroteafterreadingthedetectivestoryinthecontinuationtaskaccordingtoth
