4、thisQTLmoreprecisely.AplantcarryingaheterozygoussegmentextendingfromRM11448toRM11615wasselectedfromthe3/Milyang46BCZhenshan972F5population.TheresultingBC2F6andBC2F7populationswereassayedwithSSRmarkers.ThreeBC2F7plantswereidentified,carryingheterozygoussegmentscoveringtheintervalsRM11448

5、-RM11522,RM11448-RM11549andRM1232-RM11615,respectively.NonGrecombinanthomozygoteswereidentifiedfromtheBC2F8populations,fromwhichthreesetsofnearisogeniclines(NILs)intheBC2F8∶9generationwereproduced,consistingoftwoparentalgenotypesintheintervalsRM11448-RM11522,RM11448-RM11549andRM1232-RM1

6、1615,respectively.Fieldtrialswereconductedtomeasureheadingdate(HD),TGW,andgrainshapetraitsincludinggrainlengthandwidth.TwoGwayanalysisofvariancewasperformedtotestthephenotypicdifferencesbetweentwogenotypicgroupsineachNILsetusingSASprogram.NosignificantvariationswereobservedonTGWandgrain

7、shapeintheNILwhichwasheterogeneousintheintervalRM11448-RM11522,whereassignificantgenotypiceffectsweredetectedintheremainingtwoNILsinwhichtheenhancingalleleswereallderivedfromZhenshan97.ForHD,nosignificanteffectsweredetectedinthethreeNILs.Basedoncomparisonamonggenomiclocationsof
