2、edandrizedbyinversedistanceweightingmethod.Thesensitivityexperimentofobservationdensityisconductedontotemperatureabruptchange.Theresultsshowthatatleast33observationstationsareneededfortheanalysisrequestforChina.Therefore,only132stationsarerequiredfortheanalysisofthetemp
3、eratureabruptchangeforAsia.AcrosscheckisimposedontotheinterpolateddatainAsia.Therearesmalldeviationsbetweentheestimatedvalueandrealvalue,whichindicatestheestimatedvaluecanbeappliedtotheanalysisofairtemperaturetrendandabruptchangeinAsia.Usingtherasterizeddataandreanalysi
4、sdatafromNationalCentersforEnvironmentalPrediction-NationalCenterforAtmosphericResearch(NCEP/NCAR),theabruptchangeoftemperatureduring1961-2011overChinaandEastAsiawasanalyzedbyshowingitsspatialandtemporaldistribution.Finally,thepossiblefactorsresponsiblefortheabruptchang
5、eregimeoftemperatureoverEastAsiawerediscussed.Themainconclusionsarelistedfollowing:(1)TheabruptchangemodeoftheannualmeantemperatureoverChinaiswellcorrelatedwiththelatitude.Theabruptwarminghappenedearlierbothpolewardandequatorwardof35°N.Meanwhile,theabruptchangeadvancedf
6、romcoasttoinland.Thespatialandtemporaldistributionoftheabruptchangeofthemaximumtemperaturewassimilartothatofthemeantemperature,whiletheabruptchangeoftheminimumtemperaturewasahead.TheabruptchangeofthetemperaturechangeoverTibetanPlateauwasalwayslaterthanthatofmostpartsofC
7、hina.(2)TheabruptchangemodeoftheseasonalmeantemperatureoverChinashowsobviousseasonaldiversity.Differencesaremostevidentbetweenwinterandsummer.Inwinter,theairtemperatureadvancesfromnorthtosouth.Theregionaloflatestabruptchangetakesplaceintheeastoftheplateau,andthetimefora
