2、researchnowadays.ThenewgenerationofvideoencodingstandardH.264adoptsplentifuladvancedencodinganddecodingtechnology,H.264ismuchbetterthanothervideoencodingstandardinPSNR,compressionefficiency,network-adaptabilityandvisioneffect.Asaresult,thestandardgetsmuchattentionfromacademi
3、candindustrialfields.ThispapermainlyresearchesthenewtechniquesinH.264,emphasizestwokeytechniques:motionestimationandratecontr01.H.264codecenhancesthecompressiveperformance,howeverthegrowthofthecomputingcomplexityisdoubled.Basedonresearchonsometypicalblock·matchingmotionestim
4、ationalgorithms,thispaperpresentsanovelmotionestimationsearchalgorithmbasedonUnsymmetrical-CrossMuti-HexagonSearchalgorithm(UMHexagonS),thefirstimprovementisaddinganadaptivethresholdwithwhichdifferentsearchalgorithmsareusedaccordingtothecontentoftheimage.Thesecondimprovement
5、ispresentingthesearchalgorithmbasedoneffectiveregioninthehexagonalgridsearch,thesearchalgorithmisRegionSearchBasedonHexagon(RSHEXAGON).Thethirdimprovementisusinglargeandsmalldiamondsearchmodeinsteadofextendedhexagon-basedsearch.Thenewalgorithmrealizestheaimoffastsearchandavo
6、idsproblemsthattheexistingfastsearchalgorithmistoocomplexwhensearchoptimalpointandreducescomplexityofcodec.MostvisualcommunicationUSeSafixedratetransmissionchannel,whichmeanstheencoder’Soutputbitratemustbelimitedtotransmissionbandwidth.Itisnecessarytogivetheratecontrolalgori
