2、stitutiverelationconstrainsitswideuseinconstructions.Basedonsummariesofotherscholars’studies,anewreinforcementmethodisraisedinthisarticle—hybridFRPbarsincomponent,studiesaimingatthenewmethodaredemonstratedhere:1.ThetwokindofFRPbarsaremixedbyacertainp
3、roportionnandthedamageofcomponentisdesignedasanextra-reinforcementfailuremode.Becauseofthedifferentultimatestrainsofthetwobars,load-deformationcurvewilldisplayatri-linearmodethroughthesecondaryfractureofbars,inotherword,thiswillmakecomponentrepresent
4、safeatureof"pseudoductility"whichcangiveanearly-warningofthefinaldamage.What’smore,thetwistpotofstiffnesscanstillplayasamonitoringpotindesignofthecomponent.2.Ratioofthetwobarsandthebearingcapacityoflargeeccentriccompressioncolumnformulaarededuced.And
5、twosetsofspecimensforexperimentsaredesignedbasedontheformula.Aftertheexperiments,differentfeatures–bearingcapacity,deformabilityandenergy-dissipatingcapacity-ofthetwospecimensarecontrasted.Finallyitisfoundthatspecimendesignedbythenewmethoddoespresent
6、atwistofstiffnesswhichmakethecomponentdisplaya―pseudo-ductility‖andthefeaturesaboveallhavebeenimprovedtovaryingdegrees.3.AssociatedwiththeareaofbothCFRPbarsandGFRPbars,theparameterncannotbediscussedalone,so11setsofsimulationexamplesaresimulatedbythef
7、initeelementsoftwareABAQUStostudyhowtheareaofFRPbarsinfluencetheperformancesofspecimen.Andtheresultshowsthat,inthesectiondesign,ifthebearingcapacityplaysaleadingrole,thefirstchoiceistoincreaseareaofCFRPbars,whileiftheleadingroleisthedeformationofelem
