5、rsthatwillshapethelogisticsindustryinthefuturearealsoexplored.BeingoneofthefirstmajorstudiesontheSingaporelogisticsindustry,generatesnewinsightsandinformationforlogisticsmanagersandbusinessmeninterestedintheSingaporelogisticslandscape.IntroductionThescopeandroleoflogisticshavechangeddramaticallyin
6、recentyears.Logisticshastraditionallyplayedasupportiveroletofunctionalareassuchasmarketingandproduction,anditsscopelimitedtotransportationandwarehousing.Morerecently,logisticshasbecomemoreprominentandisrecognizedasacriticalfactorofcompetitiveadvantage(BowersoxandCloss,1996;BowersoxandDaugherty,199
