6、y.SucharefoundintheNordiccountries,Argentina,andBrazil.IncasesoflongdistanceACtransmission,asininterconnectedpowersystems,carehastobetakenforsafeguardingofsynchronismaswellasstablesystemvoltages,particularlyinconjunctionwithsystemfaults.Withseriescompensation,bulkACpowertransmissionoverv
7、erylongdistances(over1000km)isarealitytoday.Theselongdistancepowertransferscause,however,thesystemlow-frequencyoscillationstobecomemorelightlydamped.Asaresult,manypowernetworkoperatorsaretakingstepstoaddsupplementarydampingdevicesintheirsystemstoimprovethesystemsecurityby
