4、iABSTRACTTheincreasingcomplexnatureoftoday’spowersystemscoupledwiththestrainthemassivepopulationgrowthisexertingonthesystemhasbeenamajorburdenforpowersystemoperatorsandengineers.Typicalreactionstothesetrendsincludesystemcapacityexpansionandloadmanagement.Howeverloadmanagementhasanaddedadv

5、antageoversystemcapacityexpansionduetoitslowermonetarycostandenvironmentallyfriendlynature.Amidsttheloadmanagementmeasuresadoptedinrecentyears,demandmanagementcontractshavebecomeavaluedmeasurenecessaryforpowersystemoperations.Inthisthesissoftcomputingschemesortechniquesaredeployedforpower
