3、opposingfamilynormsinherentinmigrationusinganambivalenceframework.Weinterviewed60LatinomigrantfarmworkersworkinginNorthCarolina.MostwerefromMexico;eachhadleftawifeandchildreninhiscountryoforigin.Analysisindicatedthatfamilyambivalencewascommon.Ambival
4、encewasassociatedwithanxietysymptoms(butnotdepressionoralcoholdependence),especiallyamongmenwhowereunabletocontacttheirfamiliesregularly.Resultsshowtheusefulnessoftheambivalenceframework,andsuggestthattheoriginsofpoormigrantmentalhealthmayresideincir
