4、rittenbyDavidMalouf,acontemporaryAustralianwriter.TheChineseversionofthisshortstorycannotbefounduptonow.Thus,theauthortriestotranslateitintoChinesetopresentittothereaders.Throughtheanalysisoftheprojectprocessandthecases,thereportmainlydiscusseshowtheauthor
5、,accordingtoEugeneA.Nida’sdynamicequivalencetheory,appliesdifferenttranslationtechniquesonlexicallevelandsyntacticleveltomakethetranslationmoreaccurateandacceptable.Thisreportisdividedintofivechapters.Thefirstchapteristheintroductionaboutthebackgroundandpu
6、rposeoftheproject,aswellasthestructureofthereport.Thesecondchapteristheprojectdescriptionwhichbrieflyintroducestheproject,thepre-translationpreparationandthetranslationtheoryadoptedintheproject.Thethirdchapteristhetextanalysiswhichanalyzesthestyleandlangua
7、gefeaturesoftheoriginaltext.Thefourthchapteristhecasestudy,analyzingspecificcaseswithdifferenttranslationtechniquesonlexicallevelandsyntacticlevel.Thelastchapterisaconclusiontosummarizetheexperienceandproblemsofthetranslationpractice.Theauthorconcludesthat
