1、AbstractLanguagetransferhasbeenacontroversialtopicinthesecondlanguageacquisition，withinthelastfewdecades；itsimportanceinforeignlanguagelearninghasbeenreassessedseveraltimes·Recently,ithasarousedscholars’interestagainandbeendiscussedfromdifferentperspectives．Languagetransfercanbe
2、classifiedaspositivetransferandnegativetransfer．Positivetransferisthefacilitationofthemothertonguethroughthesimilaritiesbetweenthemothertongueandthetargetlanguage；whilenegativetransferistheinterferenceofthemothertongue，resultingfromthedissimilaritiesbetweenthemothertongueandthet
3、argetlanguage．Asaprocessinvolvingtheshiftofbilinguatinformation,translationprocessis，inparti“l(fā)ar,constrainedbythephenomenonofnegativetransfer．Translatorsmayutilizetheidiomaticexpressionsoftheirnativelanguageintheprocessoftranslating．Thenegativetransferofmothertongueisverysalient
