3、onsideredintradeliberalizationanalyses.Thedoublepurposeofthispaperis;first,toempiricallydeterminetowhatextenttradeinservicesdiffersfromtradeingoodsand,second,toexploreforpotentialcomplementaritiesbetweenbilateraltradeingoodsandbilateraltradeinservices.Forourfirstgoa
4、lweregressasetofequationsderivedfromthegravitationalmodelandforthesecondweinstrumentbilateraltradeforbothservicesandgoodsinordertoanalysespotentialcausalitiesofeachtypeofflowintheother.Mainresultsshowthat“bilateraltrustandcontractenforcementenvironment”,“networks”,“
5、labormarkets”and“technologyandtechnologyofcommunication”havehigherimpactonservicetradethanontradeingoods;finally,afterincrementingforendogenously,wefoundthatbilateraltradeingoodsexplainsbilateraltradeinservices:theresultingestimatedelasticityiscloseto1.Reciprocally,
6、thoughinalowerextent,bilateraltradeinservicesaffectspositivelybilateraltradeingoods:a10%increaseintradeinservicesraisestradedgoodsby4.6%.1IntroductionTheservicessectoristhebiggestcontributortoacountry’seconomy,itscontributionincreaseswiththelevelofdevelopmentofcount
