4、onlyhelpfulbutalsoessentialininterculturalcommunicationfortheimportantpositionthatidiomholdinlanguageuse,.ThispaperattemptstomakeabriefcomparativestudyoftheculturesembodiedinChineseandEnglishidiomsandexplorestheroleofthecultureinunderstandingandrenderingofbothEnglishandChinese
