3、hewidthofthemargins,andtothenotationusedinacknowledgingmaterialdrawnfromothersources.Aprofessionalpaperdiffersfromothernon-professionalessaysinthatitinvolvestheuseoflibrarysourcesfromwhichfacts,quotations,andtheopinionsofothersaredrawntoexplain,support,orauthen
4、ticateideasinthepaper.Thesesourcesareidentifiedbynumberednotes,placesattheendofthepaperoratthebottomofthepage.Aprofessionalpaperusuallyconcludeswithabibliography,andanalphabeticallistofallsourcescited.2.ClassificationofprofessionalpapersThefourkindsofpapersusua
5、llyassignedinuniversitiesandcollegesare(1)reportpapers;(2)researchpapers;(3)coursepapers,and(4)thesispapers.1)ReportPaperThereportpapersummarizesandreportsthefindingsofanotheronaparticularsubject.Thewriterneitherjudgesnorevaluatesthefindings,butmerelycatalogsth
