3、haslittletodowiththethingsthatmattermosttothem.Mostofusreacttopoliticswithamixtureofthesesentiments,whichmaychangewithtimeandevents.Politicshasmanyfacesandcanbeaforceforgoodaswellasevil.Thiscourseisaboutthecomparativestudyofpolitics.Inordertomakepoliticalcomparisons,weneedtounderstandwh
4、atismeantbypoliticsaswellaswhatitmeanstostudyitcomparatively.Politicshastodowithhumandecisions,andpoliticalscienceisthestudyofsuchdecisions.Yet,notalldecisionsarepolitical,andmanyofthesocialsciencesareconcernedwithdecisionsthatareoflittleinteresttopoliticalscientists.Forexample,consider
