4、acheshasbeenshiftedtocurrentcognitiveandpragmaticinvestigation.Inthispaper,focuswillbelaiduponthehumorfeatureofverbalironyfromtheperspectiveofpragmatics.First,throughthecomparisonofdifferentkindsofdefinitionsofirony,ageneralideaaboutwhatisironyisestablis
5、hed.Then,thispaperexaminestheCooperativePrinciple(CPforshort)ofAmericanlinguistGricewhichputforwardsthatironyactsasaviolationofCP.Finally,withtheanalysisofthepragmaticfunctionsofirony,thehumorfeatureofverbalironycanbewelldisplayed.Ironycanbeclassifiedint

7、functions.Keywords:verbalirony;pragmaticfunction;humor16內(nèi)容摘要反語作為一種普遍使用的修辭格，引起了認知心理學(xué)家和語言學(xué)家的關(guān)注。反語研究的角度從傳統(tǒng)的修辭學(xué)和美學(xué)轉(zhuǎn)向了認知心理學(xué)和語用學(xué)的探究。本文首先從不同的定義和分類上，對反語進行認知層面上的歸納總結(jié)，我們可以初步了解什么是反語。其次，基于對美國語言學(xué)家格賴斯合作原則的分析，了解反語與合作原則的聯(lián)系，反語違反合作原則主要體現(xiàn)在對質(zhì)量準則的違反上。此外，反語是言語幽默的一種表現(xiàn)形式。從語用學(xué)的角
