2、巧精致、詼諧幽默，可謂是自成一派，即不拘泥于小說《水滸》中對(duì)人物描寫，也不照搬民間流傳的水滸葉子模式，完全按照個(gè)人的偏愛和喜好，為水滸人物正名排座，并且創(chuàng)造性的改革了葉子牌的形制，增強(qiáng)了葉子牌藝術(shù)觀賞性的同時(shí)，為不識(shí)字的老百姓提供了極大便利。多年之后，陳洪綬再次作版畫本《水滸葉子》，隨著年齡的增長(zhǎng)和時(shí)局的變幻，壯年時(shí)的陳洪綬對(duì)國(guó)家、民族和未來的思考賦予了版畫本《水滸葉子》深刻的社會(huì)思想性。英雄人物的選擇與排序、藝術(shù)表現(xiàn)手法以及他為每個(gè)人物配的贊語，無不體現(xiàn)著畫家在創(chuàng)作這套葉子時(shí)嚴(yán)肅的心態(tài)，是他為挽救這個(gè)民族的奮力一搏。陳洪綬所創(chuàng)造的水滸英雄形象達(dá)到了前所未有
